This is a tough one. I just asked this out loud to Lauren and we both tossed around a few stand out memories, which just led us to stroll down memory lane. In our second year of dating, we finally got to travel out of the country together (Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona) as well as to Costa Rica! We both love getting out and experiencing new things and taking in different cultures. Those adventures (surfing in CR), travel hiccups (Lauren got stuck in the revolving door at the Paris train station haha) and experiences were some of our most memorable times together. We still manage to have a lot of fun here in LA, but we are SOO looking forward to our next escapade!
Lauren planned the whole thing without me knowing. We usually go to Santa Barbara 1-2x/year for wine tasting, so I was at all alarmed when she surprised me with a trip back up there. She organized a wine tour with a guy driving us around and teaching us all about the land, grapes etc. He was in on it the whole time. They had set up that the first winery would be ‘the one’. We were at Pence Ranch Winery, on a pond, facing the vineyards when Lauren got down on one knee and popped the Q. I was shocked!! Completely and utterly shocked and ecstatic!! It was THE BEST DAY ever! We had the whole rest of the day to drink wine and celebrate!
What are we looking forward to in the marriage? Well the first thing is the honeymoon! But seriously, just continuing to grow our lives together. Hitting each milestone together. Buying a house (eventually), getting a dog, maybe even having a kid or two For the past five years we’ve supported each other through everything.. surgeries, moving, new jobs, grad school. We just want to continue to conquer life together.
FUN-we are always up for a good time together. By ourselves or with friends, we are always known to be up to something. SNUGGLY-We aren’t afraid of a little PDA. I mean we are grossing anybody out but we really love to do everything together. We rarely pass up a time to hold hands and just be near each other. And lastly LOVING- I’m sure you engaged couples say that a lot, but it is the truth. We really just have so much love for one another and feel to lucky to have found each other in this crazy life. I truly believe we are soulmates.
