When Southern California wedding and portrait photographer Morgan McCanne contacted us about a recent wedding she photographed at the Ingleside Inn we were excited to see what she captured. The reason is that Ingleside Inn is truly one of the hidden gems of Palm Springs and one of the more unique wedding venues in the desert. Naturally, when you combine a vintage Palm Springs property with a talented photographer the end result is going to be something amazing, and Kyle and Caroline’s wedding was just that. Amazing. Below is a handful of photographs from Kyle and Caroline’s romantic wedding at the Ingleside Inn along with some commentary from Morgan about the details of the day! Morgan was also kind enough to provide a little bridal advice as an added bonus. Enjoy!
Ingleside Inn Wedding
Ingleside Inn reminds me of an adorable boutique hotel you would find in Europe, however, its nestled at the foot of Mount San Jacinto in Palm Springs! It’s a small property with greenery everywhere making it so easy to find plenty of gorgeous places to snap photos. I love the romantic and elegant features of the property because it adds such a beautiful backdrop for all the photos.
The ceremony took place on the lawn and sat around 100 of their closest family and friends. Caroline + Kyle got married under an arch covered in baby’s breath. I had never seen anything like it!
Best Moment From Kyle & Caroline’s Wedding
I am a sucker for first looks because I get to capture the bride and groom having such a special and intimate moment before they meet at the altar. Its a time of pure happiness and this is expressed differently by each person. Being able to capture such emotions unfold and document them is why I love my job.
Wedding Day Advice From The Photographer
I have a few tips of advice I give to anyone getting married. First, slow down and really soak in the day. I know everyone says it, but it really goes by so fast. Second, let the little things go. It’s okay if your nail polish chips or your bridesmaid’s hair aren’t what you expected. Don’t let little things take away from you enjoying your wedding to the fullest. Third, hire vendors that you love and trust! I cannot stress this enough. You have spent so much time, energy and money to celebrate your love and you need a great team there to support you and execute the day. It takes the stress off you and allows you to be present and in the moment.
